In late September 2001, Anne Nelson travels to a bluegrass music festival hosted by her son's band in the Blueridge mountains of Virginia. As a recent widow, she struggles with grief and guilt surrounding her husband's death as well as feelings for a man from her past who is now a member of her son’s band. As Anne returns to the bluegrass festival each year, she develops deep friendships and a growing appreciation for the music while searching for answers, faith and love amid a backdrop of bluegrass songs reflective of life.
“When author Trish Doll sent me her new novel, Bluegrass Song, I was intrigued. I read a lot about bluegrass history and so I thought a bluegrass novel would be fun. I was not disappointed... I highly recommend this book to any fan of bluegrass and bluegrass festivals.”
